Hollywood, Fla. (October 27, 2014) – Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Alice Cooper will wreak musical havoc on South Florida at Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Wednesday, February 18 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, October 31 at 10 a.m. Fans will have access to presale tickets beginning Thursday, October 30 at 10 a.m. through Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood’s Facebook, Twitter and Google+ pages.

Alice Cooper has rattled the cages and undermined the authority of generations of guardians of the status quo, continuing to surprise fans and exude danger at every turn, like a great horror movie, even in an era whereCNN can present real life shocking images.

Alice Cooper actually began as a band that pioneered a grandly theatrical and violent brand of hard rock that was designed to shock. Drawing equally from horror movies, vaudeville, heavy metal, and garage rock, the group created a stage show that featured electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood, and huge boa constrictors.

In 1971, the band gained notoriety with the gold Love It to Death, which featured the hit single “Eighteen”; the album peaked at number 35 and went gold. Killer, released late in 1971, was another gold album.  School’s Outwas Alice Cooper’s breakthrough record, peaking at #2 and selling over a million copies. The title song became a Top Ten hit in the U.S. and a number one single in the U.K. Billion Dollar Babies, released the following year, was the group’s biggest hit, reaching #1 in both America and Britain; the album’s first single, “No More Mr. Nice Guy,” became a Top Ten hit in Britain, peaking at #25 in the U.S.

Following the break-up of the band, Cooper launched a similarly theatrical solo career releasing Welcome to My Nightmare (1975), which went platinum and featured the classic title tune and the ballad “Only Women Bleed.”Alice Cooper Goes to Hell (1976) was another hit, going gold in the U.S.

In the mid ’80s sparked by his appearances in horror films and a series of bands that paid musical homage to his classic early records and concerts, Cooper made a comeback. Constrictor (1986) and Trash (1989) returned Cooper to the spotlight with the platinum “Poison.”  Other releases followed keeping Cooper in the spotlight as has his syndicated nightly radio show, “Nights with Alice Cooper.” Along Came a Spider (2008) a concept album that told the story of a spider-obsessed serial killer was followed by a sequel to Welcome To My Nightmare, called Welcome 2 My Nightmare (2011), written and recorded with that album’s producer Bob Ezrin.

With his influence on rock and roll long-since acknowledged and the band’s 2011 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, there is little that Alice Cooper hasn’t achieved in his remarkable career, including platinum albums, sold-out tours and any number of honors and career achievement awards.

Alice was recently the subject of a documentary entitled “Super Duper Alice Cooper,” from the team that had previously released award-winning Iron Maiden and Rush documentaries; the film premiered at the prestigious Tribeca Film Festival in April, 2014, and was subsequently released on DVD and Blu-Ray through Eagle Rock Entertainment.

Tickets cost $54, $44 and $34*; all seats are reserved and available at all Ticketmaster outlets online atwww.myhrl.com, www.ticketmaster.com or charge by phone: 1-800-745-3000. Doors open one-hour prior to show start time. *Additional fees may apply.
