Hard Rock’s 16th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Program

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (September 21, 2015) – Throughout the month of October, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood will help support breast cancer awareness in our community through Hard Rock’s 16th annual PINKTOBER campaign.

Guests can show their support for a cause that affects millions by visiting Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood and purchasing pink merchandise, pink drinks and pink hotel amenities. Proceeds from PINKTOBER will benefit local breast cancer awareness charities American Cancer Society “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer” and Memorial Foundation Breast Cancer Center, as well as the national Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

As the title sponsor for the American Cancer Society “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer,” Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood has donated $50,000 to help build awareness, support the lifesaving mission of the organization, and raise funds for the Saturday, Oct. 31, Fort Lauderdale walk starting at 8:30 a.m. at Huizenga Plaza in Downtown. Other pink touches will complement the resort façade and amenities. The hotel exterior will be illuminated with pink lighting and the hotel interior will feature a PINKTOBER theme. Guests can play Blackjack at the PINKTOBER section decorated with pink accents and tables remade in pink felts. At the Rock Spa, guests can enjoy specially discounted Pink Guava body treatments, manicures and pedicures, complimentary design or crystals on pinkies with any manicure, with 20 percent of new pink retail item sales donated to charity. Serving up a Good Cause

Blue Plate will feature a special PINKTOBER “DJ PJ” brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays in October from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Pink drink specials include a Cosmopolitan at Council Oak and the Plum Lounge, high limit slot and high limit table games rooms; PINKTOBER Champagne Cocktail at Center Bar and on the casino floor; Watermelon Sangria at L Bar; Prickly Pear Mojito at Beach Club and Pink Bellini at Blue Plate. Seminole Hard Rock’s newest culinary experience Kuro will feature its sweet cocktail Ni and Strawberry Semifreddo. Pink cupcakes, pink parfaits and doughnuts will be available at Constant Grind, Blue Plate and in-room dining. A $1 donation from each item sold will benefit American Cancer Society “Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.”

Stay to Give Back

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood “Get into Bed for the Cause” pink room packages include a deluxe room pool view room outfitted with pink sheets and bathrobes. Standard daily rate applies. A limited edition PINKTOBER pin and $50 resort credit (valid at Rock Spa, Constant Grind, Beach Club, Hard Rock Cafe, Blue Plate, Kuro or Council Oak Steaks & Seafood) can be added for an additional $25 per night. Proceeds of 25 percent of room revenue will be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

 Concert at Hard Rock Cafe

On Thursday, Oct. 29, at 8 p.m. Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood welcomes metal queen and rock icon Lita Ford as she takes center stage.  Both of Lita Ford’s parents died at a young age but the death of her mother, Lisa, from breast cancer left a major impact on Lita. On her 1990 CD, Stiletto, Lita paid tribute to her mom with a beautiful power ballad titled “Lisa”. A live and silent auction will be held that evening with all proceeds being donated to the Memorial Hospital Breast Cancer Center in Hollywood, Fla. Admission is free. Charitable donations accepted.

Hard Rock’s PINKTOBER campaign helps fans shop for the cause with the 2015 PINKTOBER merchandise line, including a collector’s edition pin set, T-shirts, bathrobe, pink sheets and more! PINKTOBER products are available at the Seminole Hard Rock hotel Rock Shop and sold online at www.hardrock.com. Hard Rock’s Collectable PINKTOBER pin is available at properties worldwide including Cafes, Hotels and Casinos, and the PINKTOBER unisex T-shirt is available at Hard Rock Hotels worldwide. Proceeds will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, with 75 percent of the retail price of each pin and 15 percent of the retail price of other products sold going directly to the cause.

As part of the 2015 PINKTOBER campaign, Hard Rock encourages fans to show off their support and strength with #PINKTOBER on social media. Whether sharing photos of Hard Rock’s PINKTOBER merchandise or displaying how they support breast cancer awareness in their daily lives, Hard Rock looks to its guests to join the fight and utilize the #PINKTOBER hashtag in their social media posts this fall.
