Dubbed South Florida’s premier destination for fun and entertainment, Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood will take festival-goers to the hottest spot on Miami Beach with the beach-chic #HardRockBeachClub at the festival’s Goya Foods Grand Tasting Village, taking place on Friday, Feb. 26, from 1-4 p.m. and on Saturday, Feb. 27, and Sunday, Feb. 28, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Seminole Hard Rock will bring its sophisticated style and flair for high-energy entertainment to the white sands and sparkling waters of Ocean Drive with upbeat cool vibes and culinary creations by the resort’s two fine dining, award-winning restaurants, Kuro and Council Oak Steaks & Seafood.

Kuro, the resort’s new-style Japanese restaurant, and Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, the hotel’s signature steakhouse, will serve up flavor and fun with specialty sips and bites expertly prepared by Kuro Executive Chef Alex Becker and Seminole Hard Rock’s Executive Chef Lou Marandola and Executive Sous Chef David “Ray” Roach, representing Council Oak. Signature SOBEWFF®-crafted tastes include Kuro’s Spicy Tuna and Salmon Hand Rolls, “Ramen” Egg, and popular Hachi cocktail. Accompanying the culinary sampling are Council Oak’s Bay Scallop and Pink Shrimp Salad with compressed watermelon, red onion, jalapeno and dill; Lamb Merguez Slider with Harissa mustard, pickle cucumber and dill aioli; and the refreshing Strawberry Basil Smash.

As part of Festival’s inaugural Taste Fort Lauderdale series, the New-Style Remix Dinner will take place on Saturday, Feb. 27, at Kuro and will feature Executive Chef Alex Becker and celebrity chef Justin Warner with music by DJ Felix Da House Cat. The event fuses a live DJ mix with new-style Japanese cuisine for an exclusive dinner and post-party at Kuro, the luxe and socially vibrant Japanese restaurant that debuted in 2015 at Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood. Guests will be taken on a multisensory journey that pairs an eclectic music soundtrack with a multi-course dinner taking diners through the breadth of Kuro’s family-style kaiseki menu, starting with chilled dishes, traveling through tempura, robata, land and sea, and concluding with sushi and dessert.

The dinner kicks off at 7 p.m. and will feature a multi-course menu jointly designed by Becker and Warner, featuring standout dishes such as Hamachi Blood Orange with yuzu koshyo crispy Tokyo negi and star anise; Pan Roasted Black Grouper with sunchoke puree, lemon and yuku confit; and Cocoa Rubbed Wagyu Beef with togarashi cauliflower, eggplant and moromi miso, among others. Courses will be complemented with Kuro’s taste-driven cocktails and a variety of high-end sakes.

After dinner, the party continues from 10 p.m. to midnight at Kuro’s bar and lounge and poolside patio with Kuro dessert bites and complimentary signature Kuro cocktails.  Tickets for the New-Style Remix Dinner are priced at $200 per person.
