Hollywood, Fla. (April 22, 2015) – Grammy winning singer/songwriter Rick Springfield, Canadian hard-rocking legends Loverboy and Detroit’s new wave outfit The Romantics come to Hard Rock Live at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Wednesday, September 2 at 8 p.m. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 1 at 10 a.m. Fans will have access to presale tickets beginning Thursday, April 30 at 10 a.m. through Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood’s Facebook, Twitter and Google+ pages.
For all of his accomplishments as an actor, best-selling author, and documentary subject, Rick Springfield’s first love has always been music. With 25 million records sold, 17 top-40 hits, including “Don’t Talk to Strangers,” “An Affair of the Heart,” “I’ve Done Everything for You,” “Love Somebody” and “Human Touch,” as well as a 1981 Grammy® for Best Male Rock Vocal for his No. 1 hit single “Jessie’s Girl,” Springfield shows no signs of slowing down. Springfield has toured for over 30 years, hand-delivering the hits to millions of fans worldwide via his dynamic live shows. His concerts are legendary with their rock heavy, high energy full band sets.
With their trademark red leather pants, bandannas, big rock sound and high-energy live shows, Loverboy has sold more than 10 million albums, earning four multi-platinum plaques. Loverboy are also currently enjoying a cultural renaissance, with major companies such as Taco Bell and Radio Shack using the band’s image and music to promote their products to the ‘80s generation which grew up on the group and others who are just being introduced to their anthems. These days, Loverboy’s not just “Working for the Weekend” but “Lovin’ Every Minute of It,” too, performing for those fans who “Get Lucky” enough to catch one of their shows.
The Romantics burst out of Detroit with a power pop fervor, equally influenced by punk, new wave, garage rock and the British Invasion. Led by lead singer Wally Palmar, the group’s self-titled 1980 debut album produced the massive hit, “What I Like About You”. Their 1983 album, “In Heat”, was certified gold in both the U.S. and Canada, yielding the Top Three Billboard single, “Talking in Your Sleep.”
