HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (September 4, 2014) — Council Oak Steaks & Seafood at the AAA Four Diamond awarded Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino has received Wine Spectator magazine’s Restaurant Wine List Award of Excellence 2014. The restaurant has received the prestigious honor consecutively since 2009.
Featuring a menu with over 300 wines from more than 13 countries, Council Oak offers an extensive bottle and wine-by-the-glass selection. While varietals are available to meet a range of tastes and budgets, the restaurant is proud to offer magnum bottles and exceptional wine that include several first growth wines from the Bordeaux region of France priced from $1,500 to $4,500.
“At Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, we believe in delivering an extraordinary dining experience. This is accomplished in part by offering variety, quality and depth in our wine selections for guests to pair with our masterfully created cuisine,” said Don Derocher, new resident sommelier.
Wine Spectator’s Award of Excellence Awards recognize restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers. To qualify for an award, the list must present complete, accurate wine information. It must include vintages and appellations for all selections, including wines available by the glass. Complete producer names and correct spellings are mandatory, while the overall presentation and appearance of the list is also taken into consideration.
